fall and rise ...
Firstly our very best wishes for you for 2012, though it looks like it could be a tough year ahead with the economy still not looking like recovering any time soon. Interestingly online business is still on the increase which is encouraging.
on the move ...
With a lot of businesses going south at the moment, we're doing something a little different ... going West, expanding our horizons into the USA. We secured office premises in Sedona, AZ in October 2011. Studio 5 USA LLC was established at the same time and we are hoping to be in business out there later in the year.

In the meantime there is a change at the UK end too. Our 0845 number was originally introduced as a "lo-call" number to provide local rate call charges for our nationwide clients. From feedback we've received and the changes in telephone tariffs it seems that 0845 numbers often attract higher call charges, especially from mobiles and business lines! So we will be dropping this number in favour of a standard number which is already in operation. ~ Please make a note of this new number ~
mobile friendly ...
Still on the subject of telephones and technology, increasingly important now are mobile device friendly versions of websites. This is an area where we can help clients make their internet presence work more efficiently for them. Mobile friendly websites are critical for certain industries and it's not a question of a complete redesign, but a styling and reformatting issue. We started designing these 3/4 years ago with the advent of PDA type mobile phones. Now, with 3G mobile devices now common place and 4G just around the corner it's more important than ever.
For those using CMS (content management systems) it can be a relatively simple exercise and therefore not expensive. The main website detects which type of device is being used to view it and automatically directs the visitor accordingly. We will of course be glad to talk this through with you.

I know we have laboured this aspect of promotion for your website and your business for some time now, but it is even more important than ever.
The majority of our solid business has come from word of mouth recommendation over the years and this is the power of such sites. 
Let’s look at an example and explain 
As well as friends there are business pages and one can follow/like these similar to friends. The same applies with regard to viral coverage. In the example opposite 349 people have ‘liked’ this post so their friends will also have seen this, that’s potentially 3500 people, plus whoever of those then act on it. 33 commented on it and 20 actually put it on their own page. This teenage phenomena has spread through the generations to become a very powerful market place, with the added power of recommendation/endorsement. We are working on a structured ‘product’ so that we can help you take advantage of this.
